| Action Replay's PC software is very easy to use, and it looks great
too. There are 3 windows - the left window shows the contents of your
Action Replay memory card (you can see we've copied a Powersave from Halo
onto ours, and renamed it 'Call It Anything' - just because we can!).
In the central window you can see all the Powersaves stored on your PC's
hard drive. When you install the Action Replay disc, it copies loads of
ready to run Powersaves to your PC's hard drive. We'll examine the remaining
window later on. As you can see, the software uses an intuitive 'tree'
directory structure. |
|
 |
| The anatomy of an Xbox game save. Here you can see our Halo save dissected,
giving a description of what it does, the block size, and the name of
its creator (it could be YOU!). Hmmm, sure I've heard of that guy somewhere
before... |
|
 |
| In the right-hand window you can view all the saves that are stored
on the Codejunkies internet server. This is how you download new Powersaves,
by simply dragging and dropping them across to one of the other two windows.
You'll also find the very best Community saves available on the codejunkies.com
server. These are X-Box game saves created by other ActionReplay users.
|
|
 |
| From the settings screen you can enter your details and also choose
which region of the world you'd like your game saves from. If you want
to upload your own Xbox saves to the ActionReplay community then you need
to register on this screen. |
|
| So there you have it, the only cheat system for X-Box and we hope you'll
agree that it's a very interesting proposition. As well as downloading
Powersaves which have been created for the latest games by our programmers,
you are free to exchange your own saves, levels and more with other users.
